Adult Cat and Dog Vaccinations
As pets mature, their vaccination requirements shift to focus on maintaining immunity and monitoring overall health. At Monier Veterinary Clinic, we offer various options to suit the unique needs of adult pets.
Dog Vaccination Options: Annual, Triennial, and Titre Testing
- Annual Vaccines: Protect against Canine Cough, Heartworm, and Leptospirosis.
- Triennial Vaccines: Protect against Canine Parvovirus, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, and Canine Distemper (C3), lasting three years.
- Titre Testing: Measures antibody levels to determine whether your dog still has immunity from previous vaccinations.
Dog Vaccination Options: Annual, Triennial, and Titre Testing
Titre testing is an elective blood test that evaluates whether your dog has sufficient antibodies to protect against Canine Distemper, Parvovirus, and Hepatitis. It’s a great option for:
- Dogs with specific health conditions.
- Uncertain vaccination histories.
- Owners seeking to minimise unnecessary vaccinations.
How it Works
- A blood sample is collected during your dog’s annual health check.
- The sample is either tested in house or sent to an external lab, and results are returned within 10 minutes or 10 days respectively.
- If antibody levels are sufficient, revaccination is deferred; if not, a C3 vaccination is administered.
Cost
$100-$160, depending on the tests required.
Frequency
Retesting is recommended every 1-3 years, based on results.

- Rhinotracheitis
- Chlamydia
- Leukaemia Virus
