Dr Amber graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland in 2006. Initially working in the equine field at several referral hospitals within Brisbane, her career took a change in direction after the birth of her twin girls, when she moved into veterinary nurse education and finally small animal practice.

Amber has worked at numerous small animal practices throughout Brisbane in both locum and permanent roles, which has seen her gain a wide range of experience and knowledge. Amber enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She is also very passionate about small animal dentistry and enjoys client education and communication.

In her spare time Amber and her husband are usually doing ‘DIY’ renovations or gardening, as well as spending time with her young family and pets, which include two dogs, guinea pigs and chickens.

Emily Grace Nicholson Gartley is a skilled and experienced veterinarian who joined the Monier Veterinary Clinic team in January 2025. Emily Grace graduated from veterinary school in South Australia in 2021. Since then, she has honed her expertise by working in various veterinary clinics across South Australia and Brisbane.

As an emerging professional in the field, Emily Grace is dedicated to making a positive and lasting impact on animal health and enhancing the client experience. She is committed to implementing high levels of patient care and fostering genuine, long-lasting relationships with both clients and colleagues. Emily Grace's approach to veterinary care is deeply aligned with the values of Monier Veterinary Clinic, where compassion, excellence, and community involvement are paramount.

Introducing Emma, our compassionate and dedicated Lead Veterinary Technician, who is passionate about ensuring stress-free care for our patients. With a commitment to raising awareness and improving standards in veterinary nursing, Emma constantly seeks innovative ways to enhance patient comfort, reduce stress, and alleviate fear. She is vigilant in monitoring and observing our patients, always advocating for measures that ease their discomfort.

Originally from the UK, Emma made the move to Australia 17 years ago and graduated from the University of Queensland in 2016 with a Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Veterinary Technology. She enjoys all facets of veterinary nursing, but her heart truly lies with cats. Emma is a proud mom to three feline companions: a spirited Tabby named Tiger, a charming colour point called Smudge, and a lovely black cat named Anise. She also dedicates her time to fostering sick and stray cats, which often leaves her home bustling with activity!

When she's not caring for her furry friends, Emma enjoys exploring vibrant eat street markets, and diving into a good book. We’re grateful to have Emma on our team, where her passion and expertise make a positive impact on our clinic and the lives of our patients!

Hannah, our experienced and cheerful veterinary nurse hailing from New Zealand! With a deep love for all animals, Hannah has a special fondness for our big dogs, and her passion for veterinary nursing has been evident since she began her career in 2012.

Known for her sweet demeanour and infectious smile, Hannah brings a wonderful sense of humour to our team, making her a joy to work with. Her calming influence not only resonates with her colleagues but also shines through in her interactions with clients, who appreciate her compassionate approach to animal care.

Hannah studied veterinary nursing in New Zealand, and since joining our team, she has dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her role. She genuinely loves coming to work each day, driven by her commitment to providing exceptional care to all our patients.

Outside of the clinic, Hannah enjoys quality time with her partner and two children. Their family also includes a beloved cat named Reggie, who has made the adventurous journey between New Zealand and back with them.

Natalia Mejia, our accomplished Veterinary Nurse, brings a wealth of experience from her homeland of Colombia, South America. With over 10 years in the veterinary industry, Natalia has honed her skills and knowledge, making her an invaluable asset to our team.

Natalia's journey into veterinary nursing was fuelled by her deep love for animals and a desire to improve their health and well-being. Her extensive background includes working in various veterinary settings, where she has gained a diverse range of skills and expertise.

In addition to her role at our clinic, Natalia also works as a veterinary lab scientist at IDEXX, where she applies her scientific acumen to advance veterinary diagnostics. Her dual roles showcase her dedication to the field and her commitment to ensuring the best possible care for animals.

Natalia's compassionate nature and professional demeanour make her a favorite among our patients and their owners. She excels in providing attentive and personalized care, ensuring that each animal feels safe and comfortable during their visit.

Outside of her professional endeavours, Natalia enjoys hiking and exploring the great outdoors. She loves spending quality time with her partner and their beloved cat, Flynn. Her adventurous spirit and love for nature are evident in her active lifestyle.

Introducing Sarah Cullen, our Senior Receptionist and Assistant Manager, whose friendly face and caring demeanour make her a beloved part of the Monier Vet Clinic family. Sarah is dedicated to ensuring that our clients feel welcome and valued while providing gentle care and support for their cherished pets. Her nurturing spirit extends to our team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

With a full-time role as a veterinary receptionist, Sarah brings a wealth of experience to the clinic. She holds a Certificate II in Animal Studies and has over 15 years of experience in the medical field, complemented by a Certificate III in Assistant Nursing. This diverse background allows her to blend her medical knowledge with her deep affection for animals, making her an exceptional asset to our veterinary team.

At home, Sarah is a proud cat mom to three adorable felines: Butterscotch, Liquorice, and Mufasa. Her love for animals shines through in everything she does, and we are grateful to have her as part of our team, where her kindness and dedication make a difference in the lives of our clients and their pets!

Cheryl is a highly skilled Veterinary Technician at Monier Veterinary Clinic, where she is a valued member of our team. Originally hailing from Taiwan, Cheryl moved to Australia to pursue her passion for veterinary technology. She graduated from UQ Gatton in 2023 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology. Cheryl began working with us at Monier Vet Clinic while she was still a student, demonstrating her dedication and exceptional attention to detail from the very beginning.

Cheryl’s love for working with animals is evident in all that she does, and she is always eager to expand her knowledge and acquire new skills. Outside of the clinic, Cheryl enjoys capturing beautiful moments through her lens and sharing her photography on Instagram. She also loves staying active by going to the gym.

At home, Cheryl has a delightful toy poodle whose favourite toy is a little squeaky ducky, adding joy and laughter to her life. Cheryl's commitment to her profession and her compassionate care for animals make her an indispensable part of our team.

Katelyn is a cheerful and enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant at Monier Veterinary Clinic. As a young school student, Katelyn completed her placement with us through the Australian Industry Trade College, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the veterinary industry. Following her placement, she has taken on the roles of Veterinary Assistant and Kennel Hand.

Katelyn works diligently at the clinic, always bringing a positive energy and a great sense of humour that brightens the day of both colleagues and patients. Her love for animals is evident in her compassionate care.

At home, Katelyn is kept busy by her four adorable cats, Romeo, Beanie, Lucie and Scout and two beautiful dogs Archer and Pixie, each with their own unique personalities. Katelyn’s joyful spirit and love of snack food make her a valued member of Monier Veterinary Clinic.
