Lucilla Pratt from DarraDR LUCILLA PRATT

B.V.Sc. (Hons)

Lucilla grew up and attended school in the local area. She graduated from the University of Queensland with First class Honours in 1993. She was selected as the winner of the Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association prize in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in 1993 and the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists Award for Excellence in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology in 1992.

 

She is an experienced and dedicated veterinarian that has been providing care for the pets of the local area for the last 23 years. Lucilla is passionate about all areas of small animal practice with a particular interest in feline medicine, anaesthesia, dentistry, ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery. She also has an interest in avian medicine including the medicine and husbandry of backyard chooks.

 


 

Dr Katrina Lewis from Darra, Vetrinary SurgeonDR KATRINA LEWIS

B.V.Sc (Hons)

Katrina graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2013. Growing up in Brisbane, Katrina had aspirations to become a veterinarian from a very young age. Katrina loves all animals and has a strong interest in all aspects of small animal medicine, surgery, dentistry and dermatology.

 

In her free time, Katrina enjoys reading, keeping fit and spending time with her three-legged cat Valentino and Labrador Sasha.

DR EMILY CARRICO

BVetMed BSC

Emily graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2017 but is originally from the United States. She has grown up in both the States and the U.K. and acquired her passion for Veterinary medicine and love for animals from her grandmother in England. Emily is especially interested in surgery, dentistry, and cardiology.

 

She enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her partner and their black rescue cat, Josie (DSH).

 NATASHA HANDFORD

 

Natasha is a Cert IV qualified Veterinary Nurse, she has been in the industry for the past 6 years. Natasha originally from NSW joined our team as a full-time veterinary nurse in August 2017, now living locally with her partner Dylan and fur babies Charlie (DSH) and Hunter (German Shepherd).

Natasha loves all aspects of veterinary nursing and loves all animals, although she has a soft spot for cats, particularly gingers. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, fishing, hiking and spending time with her fur babies.

 


 

 BRIDGET DENMAR

 

Bridget is one of our full time Veterinary Technicians and graduated from UQ Gatton.
She enjoys anaesthetics and surgical nursing.

Bridget enjoys keeping fit, going to the beach and live music. Bridget has a chihuahua named Toby and three cats.

 

 

 

 


 

 

ANDREA DUCE

 

Andrea joined the team at Monier soon after its opening in 2010.  Andrea has been working in the veterinary industry for 8 years and has worked with Lucilla for many years.  Andrea enjoys all aspects of her work and is particularly interested in medical nursing and is excellent at calming feisty felines.  Andrea obtained her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2013. In 2014 Andrea began a Bachelor in Nursing (Human).  Andrea has Bailey (Border Collie) and Leo (Ragdoll).


 

 

ANNA WISHART

 

Annaelise is currently studying Veterinary Technology and has been working casually at Monier Veterinary Clinic since 2016.

Anna works at a local dog boarding and day care facility and has well developed animal handling skills. Anna has a black cat called Peaches.

MORGAN BACON

 

Morgan is a student vet nurse who is developing her nursing skills and knowledge further by working at Monier Veterinary Clinic on Saturday Mornings.

 Morgan has two dogs Teenie and Leo
